We return with the presentations of the founders of the brands at the CITZZY Jornal.

We bring you closer to who is behind each brand that is part of the Citzzy family so that you can learn about its beginnings, its reason for being and where it is going.

For this reason we are very happy to introduce you to Judith, the person who undertook the creation of Little Hedonist. A brand designed looking to the future and doing so taking care of the environment.

And now, Judith explains the history and purposes of the brand.

What led you to create Little Hedonist?

I truly don’t have a particular reasons for it. I was working abroad, travelling a lot and enjoying it to the fullest. Suddenly there was my firstborn Lola, at least it felt sudden ;-). Like everyone’s life changes after having a baby for me it felt like an earthquake. Second baby on the way in no time and hormones racing all through body and mind ;-). Apparently somewhere in that situation if felt the need to create Little Hedonist, sustainable basic couture for children. Incredibly soft, extremely comfy. I never had a plan to create a children’s label, it just existed at once.

Did you have previous experience in the world of children’s fashion, or did you start from scratch?

Not at all. Not a singly bit. Nothing.

Please tell us about your brand philosophy

Our slogan is We Are The Future. Because they, as in our children, are the future. And we, as their creators and educators have the responsibility to make sure they can exist and enjoy the earth for a long long time.

We try to make the footprint we leave behind as small as possible. We up-cylce, we re-cycly, use organic materials and are as sustainable as we can be.

How would you define your brand?

Sustainable Basic Couture. Super comfy, but fashion where needed.

Do you think sustainable fashion is a “boom” or has it come to stay?

It has to stay. That is my dedicated persuasion. But we all have to be aware that we don’t make it a boom.

What is the most important difficulty in creating a sustainable brand?

To make sure that your subcontractors, factories etc are actually as sustainable as they are. That costs us a lot of work. We dont want to just use a label of sustainability. We truly want to make sure we are as sustainable as we say we are

How do you find the inspiration to design and create the collections, season after season?

It comes up. No idea how. My daughters get more say in this every season as they grow older ;-).

Which is the most special item or your favourite one from your SS21 collection? Why?

The combination of the knitted Lesha sweater in cameo rose combined with the jacquard short with cameo rose binding. My absolute fav!

What would you highlight about CITZZY Kids Concept Store?

The owner ;-). You gotta love her ;-! XX!

We hope that Judiht’s story has made you know and understand the brand a little more. We appreciate that he has shared his experience and values of his professional project.
